Business Bank Announces Promotions

Business Bank announced today that Michal D. Cann has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Business Bank. He will also continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer. Andy Hunter will take over as President, continue as Chief Credit Officer and become a member of the Board of Directors. Don Gordon, Sr. has been named as Lead Director of Business Bank.

Cann has been in the banking industry since 1971. He joined Business Bank in 2010 as President and Chief Executive Officer. Past management positions include serving as President and CEO of Whidbey Island Bank for 16 years, and President and CEO Washington Banking Company (WBCO: Nasdaq) since its inception. He also previously served as President and CEO of Valley Bank in Mount Vernon.

Hunter began his banking career in 1984. Prior to joining Business Bank as Chief Credit Officer in 2010, he was Chief Credit Officer at Home Valley Bank in Oregon. He also served as Senior Vice President and Commercial Division Manager for Whidbey Island Bank.

Gordon has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Business Bank since its inception in 2005. He will continue on the Board of Directors as Lead Director. Gordon served in management positions with GMAC and Nissan Motor Corporation for 20 years, and owned and operated Gordon Nissan in Skagit County for 18 years. He currently operates Villaorba LLC, Myka LLC and Day Creek Industries. Gordon also serves as a Director of Guardian Title and Escrow of Skagit County and First American Title Company of Island County.
